Here we go again....

Well, here I am again, another blog about getting into shape. Probably like my other blog, it will never be updated, just a wasted blog in cyberspace, but here goes anyway.

This blog is not going to be about me belittling myself because I am a bigger girl. I am not doing that anymore. I am beautiful, even if I am a size 16. I have gorgeous children and seeing their mother guzzling protein shakes and not being able to eat the family meal with them is not setting up a good example for them. 

So how am I going to get into shape? By doing the things I love doing...and the things I love doing...dancing, mainly pole dance. Nooo, not taking my clothes off and running around a pole naked, but by sweating it out, doing the hard yards and getting fit. Eating a balanced diet and cutting out the crap. (Excuse me, how did this chocolate get in my hands?)

I have been pole dancing for two years on and off, but I have not made it that far. I finally got out of beginners, then I was injured and back down again. I am lucky enough to have a pole or two at home (And no, hubby does not get pole dances...I am a little too self conscious for that) so I have the luxury of a class once a week, practice on the weekend and working out on my poles. I would also love to try Zumba.

So, slowly, I am going to post pole moves I know and pics of me in them. Then over time, we will see them improve as I improve and get lighter. After all, basic physics my friends, the lighter I am the easier I am to lift!

So lets start with some stats

Height: 168 (Was certain I was 172, until I was measured for a flight attendant job, and I shrunk!)

Pole days: One per week
Level: Advanced beginner
